MicroStrategy 9
Finally got around to installing MicroStrategy 9 on the Development PC I have at home…
…and wouldn’t you know – m3objexp.ocx error.

…at least I’m not the only one.
Nothing in the knowledge base. Just odd that 2 of the 3 MicroStrategy blogs out there have faced this issue…hey Aellament…how’s your install? Time to wipe it clean and start again…if this doesn’t work, I swear I’m switching to Open Source.

What OS/version are you using? Usually this error indicates an unsupported OS. Check the ReadMe file, and if your OS is supported, you might want to file a support ticket by emailing your regional support office! Hope this helps.
Vista 64…could this again be the root of all my problems?
Maybe MicroStrategy should throw this error up in the knowledge base with a quick info blurb?
Only the below two Vista versions are supported for Desktop:
Windows Vista Business Edition SP1 (on x86 or x64)
Windows Vista Enterprise Edition SP1 (on x86 or x64)
And only the below version is supported for Intelligence Server:
Windows Vista Windows Vista Business Edition SP1 (on x86)
I have Vista Premium…Home…boooooo.
That installation is gone. Let’s hope there’s Windows 7 support.
Mstr 9 worked great in XP. Vista is memory hog and trying to install 9 on my personal laptop was disastrous considering how slow it ran.
I cant install Microstrategy in Windows Server 2008. It says that cant install on Windows vista Operating System.
